If you're looking for a reliable all-rounder lens that delivers crisp imagery, look no further. The Canon 24-70mm lens is one of the best all purpose lenses on the market. With hundreds of 5 star reviews, it's hard to find a photographer who doesn't rave about this lens!

It delivers crisp, clean images with beautiful detail across portraits, landscape, and event photography. Basically, if you want to take your images to the next level, regardless of your photography niche, this lens needs to be in your kit.

While not a cheap lens, you definitely get what you pay for in the output quality. Having used my old faithful 10-22mm for all my landscape photography for the past 6 years, I was blown away by the clarity and minimal vignette that occurred with the aperture wide open (fully zoomed out). The detail is crisp and clear throughout the full range of the lens.

Additionally, it deals well in low light with extremely minimal noise/grain, making it a brilliant choice for event photography or shooting in moody low light.

The only con for this lens is that it lacks image stabilisation but to it's credit the image quality doesn't seem to suffer. A solid lens, it is less heavy than its predecessor and rivals the weight of some competitor lenses making it wearable for longer periods of time - wether hiking or capturing a wedding.

I've had my eye on this lens for well over a year after shooting a wedding with a friend and seeing the incredibly results of the 24-70mm, pre-editing. And I can 100% say it was worth the wait and the investment.

Photography is not a cheap hobby/business, but it also isn't one on which you should take shortcuts with your gear either. Save your dollars and spend that bit extra, and you won't be disappointed with the results!
